The Secondary Air Intake is designed to facilitate the suction of cooler ambient air into the engine's primary intake temperature. This supplementary pathway serves to optimize engine efficiency and performance by moderating the temperature of the air charge, thereby enhancing combustion dynamics and promoting smoother operation.

Replacing the blocked intake resonator with a secondary air inlet has been tested and improved the OEM intake temperature with a plus of creating engine suction noise.

Even if the SAI is fully submerged in water, the design features and positioning of the inlet eliminated the risk of water intrusion.
The primary OEM air inlet is positioned higher and larger, ensuring that water, which is denser than air, settles below it.

This design elements work in conjunction with the durability of the material used - ASA material known for its durability, UV resistance, and high heat tolerance.
